Katherine is a native of Tampa, Florida. She attended the Academy of the Holy Names and afterward drove north to continue her education in Gator Country at The University of Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Journalism and Communications.
Her first career was at 35,000 feet, where she flew with Trans World Airlines as a Flight Attendant. After a 15-year career, she retired as Manager of the Eastern Region for In-Flight Services. Next, Katherine became an Account Executive for a major medical transcription organization, which involved traveling to her accounts throughout Florida, Tennessee, Connecticut, Illinois and Texas. She is now situated at an interior design firm, working closely with her father as his Office Manager Extraordinaire.
How did Pilates find its way into Katherine’s life? She wanted to find an exercise regime that she wouldn’t become bored with. She began practicing Pilates in 2004. After 18 months, she was approached to turn her love for this practice into becoming an instructor. Katherine is certified through DBI and is really enjoying teaching. She likes to find new, fun ways to approach the reformer class to keep everyone excited and coming back for more. She looks forward to seeing you in a class very soon! Her motto: Be Prepared to Sweat!
