Pilates, Pilates has been practiced for nearly 100 years. It consists of controlled, fluid motions intended to develop stronger, more limber muscles. While focusing on proper form, alignment and breathing, Pilates increases flexibility and muscle definition throughout the entire body. Pilates is a no-impact workout that includes stretching and strengthening exercises designed to build long, lean muscles. Since low levels of stress are placed on the body, Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, including those with injuries.
