Designing Bodies Pilates studio will offer a comprehensive Pilates Instructor Program starting on January 23, 2009. PMA Certified Pilates Instructors are among the most sought-after professionals in the fitness industry today.
Designing Bodies, Inc. is proud to announce our 4th annual Teacher Training Education Program, the most comprehensive curriculum in the Tampa Bay area. Founded in 2004, the program teaches the “Joseph Pilates Method” featuring an extensive understanding of the fundamentals and covers exercises on the main pieces of equipment: Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel and Ped-o-Pull. Providing an in-depth instruction for teaching all fitness levels and body types, students will learn to access clients’ imbalances and develop programming based upon individual assessments.
Course Content and Schedule:
The 450 hour program is an in-depth study of the Pilates Method Covering the following:

Course Structure:
The program is divided into a Lecture Segment and a Self-Study/Student Teaching Segment.
Becoming a fully trained Pilates instructor requires a total of 5 weekends of extensive training, including a written and practical test, for a total of 450 hours in observation, practical, assistant teaching and student training. The core fundamentals acquired during this five-level course provides our students with the proper instruction, understanding, and nomenclature to have a direct, positive impact on their future clients.
Graduates of our Teacher Training Program will be provided with five certificates of completion, which prepares you to continue on to take the certification exam by the Pilates Method Alliance, the international non-profit professional association for the Pilates Method.
You will be given a breakdown of the mandatory hours and will personally be responsible for creating your own schedule in order to complete the requirements.
Classes for each level will be held on one weekend once a month for five consecutive months and class times are Friday (4 PM - 8 PM), Saturday (9 AM - 6 PM) and Sunday (9 AM - 6 PM).
Tuition:
Tuition for the program is $685.00 per level. If you pay in advance for all classes, you’ll receive a 10% discount for a total cost of $3083.00.
